I don't know who is losing out the most the real estate people or the sales. I mean with the whole recession thingy that is going on how many sales manager jobs do you think are being cut from various schools and programs. Seriously if i were anybody who isn't in school yet i would advise them to join the medical field but then again what do i kknow right

So after tthe whole thanksgiving dinner, and black friday i had to spend the following night working on setting up the stand, have you ever really sat down and contemplated how many tv stands here are out there in the world? Don't. I spent the evening trying to set one up and after setting it up realized that the one we had was not the one for the TV. So yeah I'm blessed because i am one of the few people on the planet who did not decide to smash the TV in my rage.

I am spoilt and I am blessed. Seriously. I was watching the news today and they were talking about 27 diet drugs that the FDA is telling people not to use because they have chemicals in them and i sat there trying to remember the last time i used a pill for anything and i couldn't I haven't had a cold in like 5 months and before that i think my last cold was in January. so yeah i am blessed, cerebral palsy, multiple sceloris, diabeters, cancer, HIV, hepatitis and the list goes on. i am blessed cuz i have none of this, mercy no one in my family has any of this.

My sister has the luck of the non-Irish when it comes to flying she is either delayed or her luggage gets left behind or her flight is cancelled or her baggages gets lost and the list continues but for mii it is different. I am blessed, it doesn't matter how late i get to the airport i always get on my flight and my stuff always arrives on time, and in the rare case that it doesn't they the airline compensate mii.

I am all teched out. If there was ever a problem with losing electricity forever and ever, I don't think I'd know what to do with myself. My techny-ness didn't used to be so bad until I started living with a guy that spends hours researching and latest electronic gizmo to get himself. Suddenly having him get all kinds of packages every week in the mail made me quite envious.

I'm not a sporadic techie...I could be but I pride myself on doing research. Usually when the specs boggle my mind I call on my darling lil sis...who knows the best specs for my personality and she does wonders filling in the blanks.

For instance, last week, I got my new laptop, a Gateway HDMI Gaming laptop, duo core. The specs are too beautiful to even rhapsodize about, but the laptop sells on the open market for $1200...I got it from craigslist for a steal of $700.

I have my Sony Cybershot 8mp camera, a new mp3 player (not an Ipod...thank God!) and still there are more things on my list.

The techie-ness doesn't stop with little purchases either...I just got a car a couple months ago..the new Mazda 6...2009 version. Yes, I'm very materialistic, I know. But I'm kinda going overboard because I've been poor, broke, vulnerable and disenfranchised for way too long. Now I have the blessings of being able to work for my money, and achieve my every technological desire.

I promise that in 2009, I'll have cured myself of this extravagent trait. I mean by then I should have my iPhone or Blackberry, and there is nothing more to get. I have the best equipment out there.

Winter comes

I have no idea what the best fat burners are. I would like to think the safest way to go is by working your butt off on the treadmill but then popping pills is easier and less dirty and less stressful but then you could end up with cancer of the stomach lining in 25 years so hmmm. So yeah as autumn falls to winter and we start wearing sweaters and baggy clothing don't forget to visit the gym occasionally.

Here is something that the neon lights and showgirls don't tell you, las vegas nv is one prayer away from bankruptcy. 46 percent of the houses are one payment away from foreclosure, can you even imagine that, if people lost their jobs half of the city would be kicked out. The whole idea of vegas is to have fun and enjoy the night but what happens when you wake up in the morning without a job or a home. so i guess this is a reality check to mii and those who mgiht be jealous of those in vegas.

A year and counting

This time last year i was misearable in california, i was crashing with my uncle and not a day wnet by that i did not consider screaming from the top of my fave. mountains. Now as i look back at the experience the Plum trees in the backyard, granola in the morning, driving on empty, dealing with kids, and grown up kids and tantrums i would like to say it was worth it but i can't. even after a year, i can't do that.

That was three years ago, it was Disney vacations package and i still haven't been to florida yet. Now i am one of those clueless people who can't tell the difference between a Rolex and a Patek Philippe. I am thinking of getting contacts. Actually i want to go all the way and go down do the nearest Lasik center and get laser surgery done on my eyes. The ups and down of wearing glasses and having to clean the lense are getting to mii and frankly too stressful. My life needs to be easier.

i don't really know how to get rid of acne. I mean from time to time i try a product, like i think there was this time that i was a fan of clean and clear and for about 4 months i used it but it became routine and i never really knew if it did the job, then i went the Aveeno route and i can't beyond a shadow of a doubt tell you that one is better than the other because i never really do the before and after shot.

do you realize that is it sometime cheaper to buy stuff for the house and use it for office furniture I am trying to find something to eat in walmart and the result of my labor was basically nothing, the more i looked the more frustrated i got so i switched aisles and ending up in the section that has to do with house supplies and i perused the area and then walked a bit more until i ended up at school and office suplies and let us just say that it is cheaper to go the housing route.

so yeah what is it about electronics that hold such appeal nowadays, I am babysitting some kids this week and the 18 month year old is fascinated by the computer and the five year old is determined how to teach mii to use the TV and DVD player. I mean what happen to the days of sandboxes and toys without batteries and stuffed animals. Is there a way to reverse it, or is this just one of the side effects of our "progress"

Yeah this is the 600 post on this blog, of course i have been the one doing all the work lately but who cares right. So i want to go to Alaska, for celebration of this milestone, i want to go to Alaska and see the animals and the icebergs and bears and mountains, of course it is already too late for this season so maybe i will have to wait till next year july but the question is do i need a passport?

i am not entirely sure how the whole working for a hospital works. I mean a couple of months ago my sister was sick and i had to stay with here there at the hospital and i didn't have any clothes to wear so i took a pair of her scrubs (my sister is a nurse) and wore it and by the end of the week people were asking mii for directions because they thought I was a NURSE, so yeah the whole medical id needs to be upgraded because scrubs are a dollar a dozen.

I am in grad. school, my friend who is also in grad. school at the University of Notredame wants to open a bakery, now this doesn't sound so crazy right. I mean for all you know he is a culinary major or hotel administration major but NOOOOOOOOOO my friend J is working on his Masters in Computer Science, so yeah I don't understand how a bakery and hard drives coexist in his brain but they do, it is like mii researching wine clubs for a winery that i want to buy after i graduate.

How do you define a bed, seriously for the last week i have slept on multi surfaces and i mean that it the most kosher and non sexual way possible. anywayz i am beginning to believe and might have convinced myself on wednesday night that a flat surface is better than a lazy boy chair but then my second attempt on the car change the way i appreciate and view adjustable beds.

I have to get a new pair of eyeglasses and frankly i don't know where to start. One stop store

Okay I am about to blow your mind. I have a friend who is on this wedding trip, but trip i don't mean an actual journey but a mental visualization of the event. Now for mii who has trouble deciding what to wear to church I have a hard time keeping track of the various color schemes and themes.

There needs to be one store, a one stop store for people like me, you walk in there and you will have everything you need for your wedding, that way you don't have to spend so much time on the road, things like bridal lingerie,tuxedos, limos, men's jewelry, tablecloth, floral arrangments, shoes, bridemaids dresses, Outer Banks rentals, hotel information should all be at the same store

Walk in bathtubs. Yes. I talked to a friend of mine yesterday that I haven't spoken to in a decade. As I was catching her up on my life, she stated, "Wow Vix, you are still the same. You are still doing your own thing!"

That comment lead me to an introspective phase. Have I really been the same Vixen from 10 years ago? Perhaps she noticed something in me a decade ago that I didn't notice in myself, that thirst for adventure, the wish to live life on my own terms, the quest to answer to no one but myself. Perhaps she sensed 10 years ago that I was different from the pack, I never followed the dictates of the group, I silently acquiesced to the gestures of my position but rebelled in action.

I think the only difference between then and now is that now my revolutions are open and my rebellions more flaunting. Back then I would do and say what was expected of me in public, and do my own thing in private. Now I do and say what I feel in public, and live my life the way I want to live it in private. Back then I was too shy, too introverted and too polite to just let reign words that would fully express my intentions and my feelings. Now, I struggle with lacking tact.

So I guess I have changed. Perhaps for the better, perhaps for the worse, one can't really tell. But I do know that I love the me now than the me then. And I guess that is the most important thing of all.

Time mine

I don't know much about the New York Moving Company but one of the few things I do know is that they move stuff. Now why is this a topic on my mind, well let us just say that when you daydream in most situations in the dreams, you are moving, or have just moved. It is all about, don't let mii generalize but in most cases it is about a fresh start in a new and exciting place, or a promotion that allows you to get a new pad.

Kosovo has decided to declare independence from Serbia. Now this might not seem like a big deal to many people but it is. I want to launch into the ramifications that arise but time does not permit mii in this short politic post, in other news McCain seems to have the first Pres. Bush support do you think that he will include him in his cabinet. Sad tale

I am not suprised if you find this hard to believe but I am six weeks into the new year and for some unexplainable reason (resolutions SUCK perhaps) i haven't been able to summon the courage to accomplish any of my preset goals. Goals, okay let mii be honest and just call them resolutions. I haven't been able to get on the wagon. Mercy most people fall off but I can't even get on, It seems like my love for the elliptical machine has faded into oblivion.

Winter where are u

I am not exactly sure how to spend the money that I do not have anymore. You see the problem is that I now live in Texas and the sun is always shinning. I have a problem with this spring in February and my problem is vocalized by my 500 dollar sheepskin boots that i bought over christmas break. It is really hard to find places to wear it too and let us not forget my sweaters and shawls and all the other winter items that most now be tucked away to gather mold.

NO I DID NOT SPENT 500 dollars on a pair of boots
I do however have a pair of Steve Madden brown boots that have only be worn once.
