Bad Habits

Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. ~ Berthold Auerbach
Music is the art which is most nigh to tears and memory. ~ Oscar Wilde

Most of your decisions and life choices are based on logical thought and fact. However, sometimes, when you are totally confused and don't know what to do in a situation, other channels help you focus on what is the most important thing.

Destiny's Child was in my neck of the woods this weekend, and for those of you that know me, you realize that I have been anticipating this concert for weeks. The pre-shows happened to be my little jailbait crush Mario (thank goodness he's legal now!) and Amerie. So I was super amped to finish up the summer with a bang.

On my iPod Mini, I actually had the three albums on my playlist for weeks, gearing up for the event. After all, this is the last concert tour ever (so they say).

The epiphany actually occurred midway through one of the best concerts I've been to. Kelly was on stage singing 'Bad Habit' and the lyrics went straight to my core. Sometimes you set yourself up for failure constantly and don't know why. I realized what my bad habit was. And knowing is half the battle.

If you have a chance to see them in concert, please do, it was WONDERFUL. However, if you can't, just buy the album and listen to all the tracks. Because I said so dammit!

I'll have to get a copy of the new Destiny's Child for my MP3 player because of your suggestion.

I'll let my mind wander thinking about Beyonce and Kelly singing to me.
