Moments

Life is not the amount of breaths you take, it's the moments that take your breath away. ~ Alex "Hitch" Hitchens/George Carlin.

It's amazing how much I've come to savor now that I'm back out in the 'real world'--things that I had started to take for granted. Like a shower everyday. And clean hair, I mean I don't wash my hair every day but it just felt really icky in there (hence I can't stop raving about it). And waking up naturally and not to some vampire phlebotomist at 5am trying to draw blood from my feet. So anyway, as you can see, I'm doing great. I feel so much better, have alot of energy (all those blood transfusions) and can eat Rice again---I missed rice sooooo much!

On a lighter note, here are the top moments that took my breath away today...
  1. The moment I tried on my perfect little black dress. I didn't even have to check out how it looked in the mirror, it just felt so perfect that I just knew. I've been looking for one for years and finally found it...in a little store, tucked away in the corner of the mall. And it was actually in my price range! That was the same shopping expedition that I picked up the perfect Meet His Mom dress as well as my first fantasy lingerie. All in all a really good experience.
  2. When posed with the question if he could change anything at all about me, the only thing the Boyfriend said was that he wished he could make me 100% healthy. Awwww!
  3. This evening while back-reading blogs, I found this post that actually brought tears to my eyes as well as took my breath away. I love that man! And who knew she had that much writing skillz?
  4. When I heard Christina Aguilera's Save Me From Myself for the first time since I've been back at my computer. This is the absolute best love song ever! I have the whole CD and this is my favorite track, only one that got put on multiple playlists in my Ipod and I've listened to it about 87 times. In a row. Just tonight. It's the only song on my Windows Media right now and just keeps playing over and over again. I love it!
Hope you can savor and enjoy your moments in this lovely day.
